We have a fantastic leadership opportunity to join our Asset Team as a Facilities Property Manager.

This is a full-time position based at our head office at One Stratford Place and Shenfield.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to assist with the cost-effective delivery of the company’s facilities management strategy for the Abellio Greater Anglia portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of facilities management on Greater Anglia stations and buildings and the commercial management of the fixed term maintenance contractors.

Duties will include the management of Property contracts, ensuring activity is performed to prescribed technical, environmental, and safety standards, and that customer service is at the forefront of everything we do.

Within this role, you will assist with the management of the outsourced services contracts with specific reference to end-user customer experience and financial performance. Maintain the mechanical and electrical and the fabric elements of the estate in compliance with corporate, statutory, health and safety policies, regulations and procedures, through rigorous contract management.

Furthermore, you will also assist with keeping expenditure and financial reporting in line with budget provision and consistent with the agreed strategy for the estate. Processing Contractor Payment applications, review, and audit, approving these in accordance with contractual terms.

Responsibilities will also include providing support to the Asset Team HSQ Manager either through the direct reporting of recognised safety non-conformances, or practical support dependant on the person’s level of safety training & experience. Ensuring maintenance related actions arising from Director Safety tours, Twitter feeds & Safety Performance reports are followed up Assist in resolution of Third-Party claims including assisting the Finance team with insurance matters

You will be required to deputise for the Head of Facilities Management when required.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a colleague who has good interpersonal and communication skills, flexible, and is able to work to tight deadlines. You will be commercially and financially astute and have excellent attention to detail.

The successful colleague will have proven property and facilities management skills, and the knowledge and understanding of contract management. It is important that you have detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM), and an understanding of rail industry issues in relation to construction.

Ideally, you will have a membership in a property professional body (BIFM or RICS) or working towards this.
