We have a high standard of service for our customers throughout their journey experience so they can sit back relax and travel with confidence. Not to mention a whole new set of modernised greener trains, it’s never been a more exciting time to start a career with us. Do you want to be part of the journey? We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Manager to join the West Anglia Customer Service team based at Harlow Town Station, on a part-time basis (three days a week). This is a fixed term contract which is expected to last up to 14 months.

The Role

You will lead and engage a small team of roster colleagues to ensure that they are energized and able to meet the changing demands of the business.

As a member of the management team, the role provides important administrative and managerial support to the whole Customer Services team and although the role is highly varied, it typically includes producing and maintaining various departmental records, collating and producing a number of weekly and periodic performance reports, ordering and distributing stocks and supplies, meeting note and action taking, and scheduling and coordinating colleague medicals.

As a key point of contact for the wider team, the role also maintains and develops internal and external relationships with a variety of colleagues, departments and stakeholders.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a self-motivator, who is very well organised and is comfortable with managing their own time to take ownership of situations and meet deadlines.  Although not essential, previous experience in supervising a small team and/or administrative work is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills across all levels of business will be especially important – both written and verbal – and you will need to have a good underlying standard of computer literacy (MS Word and Excel in particular). The role is generally office hours on the agreed days; a small amount of travelling is also to be expected, predominantly on the West Anglia route.

The closing date for all completed applications is on Friday 06th January 2023
