We have an exciting opportunity for a Welcome Host to join our team at Cambridge Station. This is a full-time permanent position.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance customer experience at our station. You will assist with events and the high level of passenger numbers through Cambridge station.  

Creating a welcoming environment whilst providing pro-active assistance to our customers on and off trains is important in this role.

You will be responsible for all matters regarding safety, security, cash regulations and maintenance of the ticket machines. Be responsible for maintaining security of the station premises at all times and carry out winter precautions as per station arrangements. This role will also include station cleaning and security checks as part of your daily duties.

Shift times vary from 0600-2000 Monday to Sunday including bank holidays, therefore own transport is essential. The role entails an average of 35 hours per week

Full uniform will be provided, to ensure that you embrace our values and brand as a business.

We are looking for a colleague who has a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate should be pro-active and friendly when dealing with our customers.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. This role will require you to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining integrity at all times. You must be flexible (in your working hours).
