We have an excellent opportunity within our Train Service Delivery Team for a Driver Trainer & Simulator Manager. This is a permanent position which will be based at our Stratford Training Academy.
The Role
As a Driver Trainer & Simulator Manager, you will improve the performance of new and existing Train Drivers, by providing continuous development, support and feedback, through the use of simulators and in a classroom environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of full rules, traction, and safety training for all new colleagues. In addition, you will also develop and improve all areas of driver training, to include training material and simulator scenarios alike. You will be required to carry out First Line on-call operations duties - this includes out of hours and weekend cover.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a colleague who is highly motivated with a positive attitude and has a creative edge to integrate new rules and standards. A current train driving license and a good safety of the line record is required. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are both very important in this role.
You will be well organised with the ability to prioritise your workload and have advanced Microsoft Office Skills to include Excel and PowerPoint. Assessor qualified or working towards this qualification will be highly beneficial. An understanding of Non-Technical Skills would be advantageous.
