Technician – Level 3

Crown Point Depot require 3 high calibre Technicians to undertake maintenance and repair of rolling stock to a high standard of safety and quality on and off Depot as required.

Main Duties:

You will be accountable for Safety Critical Duties as instructed by their Shift Manager and will also be required to carry out Maintenance on other stock as instructed. You shall carry out Maintenance work in accordance with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions and associated documentation, whilst carrying out Fleet Checks and Modifications.

Responsible for reporting defective Plant and Equipment in use and for working to EAW and HASAWA regulations. You will produce accurate and complete maintenance records and where trained, create and update Maintenance records, generally contributing to C.I. and development of the Production process. Ensure that your work area is left to a suitable standard and to local requirements and that they comply with the requirements for these positions as detailed in other Company documents, e.g. Safety and Quality manuals etc.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidates will require a minimum of NVQ Level 3, equivalent C and G or recognised Apprenticeship, a working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations applicable to the Railway and the Workplace. A background in railway rolling stock maintenance and operations is favourable and you must have the aptitude and interpersonal skills in order to foster good team working and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
