Be part of something rewarding, by joining Greater Anglia you’ll be helping our customers get from A to B. With a staff of over 2,500, we operate a busy commuter service from London Liverpool Street to destinations across the east of England.

We have a vacancy within our On-Board Catering Team based at Norwich. The aim of this role is to provide an outstanding standard of service to Greater Anglia customers travelling on intercity services between Norwich and London through the provision of a Catering Facility.

Services are provided by a Cafe Bar, an at Seat Trolley Service and a 1st Class Trolley Service.

The role will involve working 35 hours a week on a rolling roster basis with early, late and weekend shifts included. The earliest sign on time is 0430 and the latest sign off time is 0200. Sundays are worked on a rostered overtime basis.

You will be required to provide excellent Customer Care and maximise revenue by upselling items to achieve both individual and departmental targets.

The role can be demanding so you will need to be physically fit as you will be on your feet for several hours a day and be able to pull a fully loaded trolley through the train. You will need to be flexible and able to work well under pressure completing all tasks efficiently and safely.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for people who can bring our four behaviours to life in your everyday work:

·        Genuine … be welcoming, customer-centric and respectful

·        Professional… be solution-oriented, accountable and delivering to promises

·        Proactive … be progressive, innovative and decisive

·        Inclusive … be connected in your thinking, empathetic and promote diversity

Greater Anglia can offer you a great work/ life balance alongside a generous salary. If learning, developing and growing your career is as important as great benefits such as free travel, pension, family discounts, childcare vouchers and cycle to work scheme, then apply now, and see what we can do for you!
