We have an excellent opportunity within our Customer Service Team, in Ipswich for a Train Dispatcher (You must live in the Ipswich Area and be available on shift from 07.00 am). .

Working closely with the platform team, you will provide safe and punctual train dispatch and  exceeding customer expectations at all times. You will have the willingness to help customers and colleagues with a friendly, proactive approach.

You will refer to operating notices / engineering notices with regard to train service alterations, in order to limit disruption as a result of engineering work as far as practicable. You will also promote the beliefs and goals of the Company whilst on duty and travelling to / from work and execute your duties in a manner which is aligned to brand values. This role will also include station cleaning and security checks as part of your duties. This role is part time working 11.25 hours a week.

You must be flexible, and have exceptional customer service skills. You will have a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and be pro-active, friendly and open when dealing with our customers. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial to this role. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, show integrity, and be flexible and adaptable to change. Ability to dispatch trains is desirable but full training will be given to you.
