Train Planner

We have an excellent opportunity within our Operations department at Colchester for a Train Planner on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

You will develop the timetable in order to best satisfy commercial, operational and maintenance requirements. You will ensure the permanent timetable is produced within the production timescales in the Network Code. You will produce stock and platform workings that support any timetable bid, ensuring all data is transferred as appropriate. You will create public timetables and proof-check local timetables, assist with the traffic workload as require, and investigate options on timetable changes and development.

You will have a good understanding of Railway operating procedures and arrangements related to the train plan and train planning process. You will have excellent attention to detail, be well organised, and able to prioritise workload. You will be able to communicate effectively with internal customers.
