Role Details  

• 35 hours per week (shift-based, including early starts, late finishes, weekends,)  
• The suitable candidate must be able to get to the early shifts by own means of transport/  
• Full training provided and uniform provided , to ensure that you embrace our values and brand as a business.

Join Our Team as Welcome Host at Ely Station. This is a static position

The Role  

The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance customer experience at our station. 

Creating a welcoming environment whilst providing pro-active assistance to our customers on and off trains is important in this role

Duties may include:  

• Oversee all matters related to safety, security, cash regulations, and maintenance of ticket machines.
• Implement winter precautions according to station arrangements.
• Maintain security at the station.
• Conduct station cleaning to uphold the appearance of the station.
• Perform security checks as part of the Station Security Plans (SSP), which may vary from every 30 minutes to twice a day.
• Inspect for left items, secure waste bins, and ensure doors are shut and/or locked.

• Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively  
• Are calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, and able to handle various situations   
• Possess a “can-do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team  
• Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment.  
• Have familiarity using new technology such as smartphones to assist customers.
