We have an excellent opportunity to join our Asset Management Team based at Ilford Depot working as a Depot Facilities member who is willing to and work across our network.

The Role

Join our Asset Management team and play a vital role as a member of the Depots maintenance team responsible for reactive and Planned maintenance across all Greater Anglia’s Depots and sidings. As a valued team member, you will have a range of duties to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities.

Your responsibilities will include completing assigned tasks by the Depot Facilities Team Manager within specified time frames and to the highest standards. These tasks may include Depot Vegetation clearance, maintenance and repair of Depot Path and Walkway, Depot Fabric Repairs including Painting and Decorating, Pit edge marking, minor repair and replacement of Depot signage, and more. You will also be responsible for receiving and signing off work orders using an electronic tablet system.

In addition, you will need to perform depot planned preventative maintenance on Buildings, Plant, CWM, CET, and other assets as required, while assisting depot maintenance technicians with plant maintenance duties. General cleaning tasks like litter removal, graffiti removal, moss, mould, dirt, and grime cleaning, maintenance of drains including CWM gullies, unblocking toilets, and CET plant maintenance will also be part of your duties.

You will also be expected to follow depot site safety plans for DP duties and complete any other tasks assigned by the Plant team Manager or Deputy Head of Depot Facilities. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you can demonstrate your skills and contribute to the effective operation of our facilities.

What we are looking for 

Semi-skilled individual with experience in maintenance in a variety of disciplines.

We are seeking a candidate who can contribute valuable skills and experience to our team, offering support, guidance, and motivation to colleagues. Candidates should have a track record of success in working within collaborative team settings and hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Knowledge of the rail industry, property management, rail safety regulations, Group and Line Standards, as well as current Statutory legislation is preferred. Possessing PTS and DP certifications would be beneficial, along with basic computer literacy skills.
