Senior Project Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Finance Team on a permanent basis as a Senior Project Accountant, based in One Stratford Place/WFH.

This position will report directly into the Deputy Finance Director. 

The role’s primary responsibilities will be to identify opportunities to preserve and create value for shareholders and wider stakeholders, while proactively managing costs and risk. You will need to use business insight to translate complex information and communicate it effectively, enabling the organisation to solve problems to take the right decisions and fund them properly, and implement successfully.

You will be responsible for critically analysing and reporting on all areas of current and future financial performance of specific Departments and/or Projects, thereby ensuring a sound basis for management control and decision making. You will provide financial input into the key areas of business and strategic planning processes.

Other responsibilities will include deputising for the Deputy Finance Director and acting as a financial consultant within the Company providing flexible professional advice and information to meeting the needs of senior business colleagues. You will work closely with managers across the Company to help them clarify and resolve financial issues arising from the accounts, projects and business proposals. Create and oversee the process for capturing and reporting of financial information relating to the achievement of committed obligations

As a Senior Project Accountant, you will manage and lead a team of 1/2 project accountant(s)

The successful candidate must hold an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
