Role and Accountability

You will review and prioritise unscheduled work arriving on depot to minimise production impact (load, plan stability), and develop and maintain reporting tools to monitor the plan and analyse performance. You will coordinate with the depot on the timing and delivery of failed units, whilst ensuring the depots are aware of the incidents and that a rectification is required. This will include a return to service plan.

You will be required to adapt maintenance plans when circumstances demand, whilst ensuring that mileage or date-based restrictions are not exceeded. Adaptations to the maintenance plan must take into consideration depot road availability and constraints are made in conjunction with Controllers. You will monitor service quality issues relating to fleet to ensure that faults are reported accurately to the depot to be rectified with special monitoring of KPIs such as air conditioning. In conjunction with the Fleet Allocation Controller, you will develop a scheduled maintenance plan to include exams, checks, modifications, lathe, toilet, cleaning activities and defects.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Required

You will have an understanding of railway operating rules, procedures and arrangements, especially incident management and rail industry performance management processes. You will also have an understanding of the geographical routes and rolling stock operated by Greater Anglia, and the ability to work in a team. You will be well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to develop and maintain credibility and integrity.

You will have a technical based background, ideally qualified to HNC/HND level in an Engineering related discipline and 5+ years in a rolling stock background, with strong IT skills, including use of Excel, R2M, GENIUS and InforEAM and ideally good keyboard skills. You will have previous experience of coaching others and have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively under pressure and to a variety of levels within an organisation, including assertiveness and strong influencing skills.
